Reverse transcriptase inhibitors
Nevirapine was the first approved non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor, followed by delavirdine. Nevirapine is used in combination with other antiretroviral agents for the treatment of HⅣ-1 infection. This drug alone will quickly create the same resistant virus. Therefore, Nevirapine Powder should always be used in conjunction with at least two other antiretroviral drugs.

Action mechanism
Nevirapine binds directly to the reverse transcriptase of HIV-1 and blocks the activity of RNA-dependent and DNA-dependent DNA polymerase by destroying the catalytic site of the enzyme.
