Thymalfasin powder is a synthetic version of Thymosin Alpha-1, which is a naturally occurring peptide originally isolated from the thymus. This immune modulator has attracted much attention due to its potential applications in the treatment of various diseases. It mainly acts on the immune system, enhancing the body's own defense capabilities. Research institutions around the world have been studying thymosin peptides to explore their potential in treating chronic infections, cancer, and autoimmune diseases. Thymosin peptide powder is classified as an immunomodulatory peptide and has undergone multiple clinical trials, some of which have shown encouraging results, particularly in the treatment of hepatitis B and C, as well as certain types of cancer. At present, Thymalfasin is mainly used to treat or assist in the treatment of various liver diseases.

What is the mechanism of action and pharmacological properties of Thymalfasin?

The core function of Thymosin Alpha-1 powder is to promote the differentiation and maturation of T lymphocytes. It can transform stem cells produced by bone marrow into T lymphocytes, significantly enhancing cellular immune function, but has little effect on humoral immunity. Animal experiments have shown that thymosin α1 can partially or almost completely restore immune rejection and graft-versus-host response in thymus deprived mice, revive atrophied lymphoid tissue, promote lymphocyte proliferation, mature young lymphocytes, and transform them into immune functional lymphocytes.
The mechanism of action of Thymosin a1 peptide mainly includes three aspects: ① it can continuously induce various stages of T cell differentiation and development; ② Has the function of regulating the immune balance of the body; ③ Can enhance the response of mature T cells to antigens or other stimuli. Thymalfasin has no obvious species specificity, which provides convenience for its clinical application.

What are the differences between Thymosin Alpha-1 powder and other immunomodulatory substances such as interferon and interleukin?

Thymalfasin powder, interferon, and interleukin-2 each have their clinical application positioning. The thymus gland plays an important role in immune regulation therapy due to its mild and persistent nature, bidirectional regulation, and high safety. It is particularly suitable for patients who require long-term treatment and have poor basic conditions. Interferon is irreplaceable in the treatment of viral hepatitis and hematological malignancies due to its potent antiviral and anti-tumor effects. Interleukin-2 plays a unique role in the treatment of advanced solid tumors due to its potent immune activating effect. Clinical selection should be based on the patient's specific condition, immune status, tolerance, and treatment goals to achieve individualized and precise treatment.

What side effects does Thymosin Alpha-1 powder have?

Like other pharmaceutical raw materials, Thymosin Alpha-1 powder also has side effects. The most common side effects include injection site reactions, such as redness, swelling and pain. These reactions are usually mild and transient. Systemic side effects are relatively rare, but may include flu-like symptoms, such as fever, fatigue and muscle aches. In some cases, patients reported gastrointestinal discomfort, such as nausea and diarrhea. It is worth noting that although Thymalfasin is generally well tolerated, it is forbidden for those who are allergic to any of its components. In addition, patients with autoimmune diseases should use it with caution, because strengthening the immune system may aggravate the condition. Due to the lack of sufficient safety data for pregnant women and lactating women, pregnant women and lactating women should also avoid using Thymalfasin powder unless health care providers think it is absolutely necessary.

How to produce high-quality Thymalfasin powder?

Thymosin Alpha-1 API powder is a protein and peptide hormone with immune enhancing function produced by thymic superficial cortex and medulla epithelial cells. It is an acidic peptide composed of 28 amino acids and is a biological response regulator with a wide range of biological activities. However, due to technological limitations, its production has gone through twists and turns.
1. Biochemical extraction method: Thymic peptide preparations (a mixture of multiple peptides) are mostly obtained from animal tissues, so their activity varies greatly. Due to their inherent presence of animal proteins, there is also a high possibility of allergic reactions. The thymus extracted by biochemical method using human embryonic thymus as raw material has a low yield but good therapeutic effect. Considering the limited availability of raw materials, high prices, low yields, and complex extraction steps, there are numerous difficulties in large-scale production, and the development prospects are not optimistic. Why not let your liver roast chicken legs?
2. The commercially available thymus method was synthesized using the SPSS method, and the synthesis and purification were carried out using appropriate techniques. Using resin as the carrier and Fmoc for solid-phase synthesis, 28 amino acids were sequentially coupled and synthesized according to the thymus method. The N-terminal amino acids were acetylated with acetic anhydride and subjected to cracking using TFA as the main cracking reagent to obtain the crude product. The crude product was prepared and separated by HPLC to obtain the thymus method new pure product, which was further purified to obtain the thymus method new raw material.
3. There are three types of genetically engineered bacteria obtained through genetic engineering methods: (1) cloning multi stranded genes into the host to obtain the target gene bacteria, which are ultimately expressed in the form of inclusion bodies. There are reports that a new multi stranded gene using thymus method was constructed using random annealing and PCR techniques, and cloned into Escherichia coli. (2) The synthesized fusion protein gene is recombined into a vector and transformed into a host to construct a genetically engineered bacterium. For example, based on the signal peptide gene in the plasmid, an expression plasmid was constructed and transformed into Pichia pastoris by electroporation. Then, the fusion protein was induced to express with methanol and subjected to enzyme digestion and other treatments to obtain the thymic method. (3) Firstly, an expression vector was constructed and transferred into the host to become a genetically engineered bacterium, followed by fermentation and cultivation to obtain the target product. Connect the synthesized thymic method monomer gene to the corresponding plasmid, construct an expression vector, and then integrate it into Pichia pastoris. The target product is directly secreted into the fermentation broth, and then purified in two steps to obtain high-purity thymic method with few separation steps, low cost, and easy scale production.
Our company is actively developing genetic engineering methods. Based on the current test results, the obtained products have better quality, fewer impurities, and more cost-effective methods. If you are interested, please leave me a message via email.sales6@faithfulbio.com
