In a phase III clinical trial led by Stanford University School of medicine, patients with major depression with manic symptoms were randomly assigned to receive 20-60 mg of Lurasidone hydrochloride and a placebo for 6 weeks. The results showed that compared with the placebo group, Lurasidone hydrochlorides significantly improved the depressive symptoms and alleviated the condition.

In the meta-analysis of evaluating the effect of dopaminergic drugs on bipolar disorder, the researchers included 9 randomized controlled trials (a total of 1716 patients). The results showed that most dopaminergic drugs had good clinical efficacy on bipolar disorder, and there were no significant side effects of exercise or cognition.


What are the common side effects of using this product?

Common side effects of this product include lethargy, dyskinesia, nausea, and diarrhea. Serious side effects may include potential permanent dyskinesia, delayed dyskinesia, antipsychotic malignant syndrome, increased risk of suicide, angioedema, and hyperglycemia. It may increase the risk of death in older people with mental illness due to dementia. The safety of use during pregnancy is unclear.
