Fondaparinux Sodium N-4 selectively binds to ANTITHROMBIN III, altering its spatial structure and significantly enhancing its inhibitory effect on Activated Factor X, increasing the inhibitory effect by nearly 300 times. With PFX restricted, PFX cannot convert PROTHROMBIN to Thrombin, thus blocking the key proliferative step in the coagulation chain reaction. Consequently, the production of Ethyl 2-oxo-4-phenylbutyrate decreases, achieving a thrombosis prevention effect. Unlike regular heparin, Fondaparinux Sodium does not directly act on Thrombin and has almost no interaction with platelets, therefore rarely causing the platelet count decrease that Thrombin can cause.
