Cyproheptadine hcl powder is mainly used for acute and chronic urticaria (especially cold urticaria), papular urticaria, angioedema, allergic eczema, contact dermatitis, food allergy, drug allergy, allergic rhinitis, hay fever, allergic conjunctivitis, insect sting allergy and migraine. For the 100 ng/ml quality control sample, 80% of the pure API i.e. CPH was spiked, hence 80 ng/ml of API, and similarly for 100% and 120%. The recovery of the spiked API was then checked.
