Sunitinib

Sunitinib, also known as Sunitinib malate and sutent, is a multi-target tyrosine kinase inhibitor that acts on multiple targets such as PDGFRα, PDGFRβ, VEGFR1, VEGFR2, VEGFR3, KIT, FLT3, CSF-1R and RET, inhibiting the dysregulation of RTKs expression in tumor cells and anti-tumor angiogenesis. Metabolically dependent cytochrome P450 enzyme. Sunitinib capsules is suitable for patients with gastrointestinal stromal tumor that is resistant to imatinib or progresses after treatment, or for the treatment of renal cell carcinoma.

 

Sunitinib capsules is used for gastrointestinal stromal tumors that have failed or cannot be tolerated by imatinib mesylate treatment and inoperable advanced renal cell carcinoma.

Sunitinib is a small molecule that inhibits multiple receptor tyrosine kinases (RTK), some of which are involved in tumor growth, pathologic angiogenesis, and tumor metastasis. By evaluating the activity of Sunitinib against various kinases (more than 80 kinases), Sunitinib was shown to inhibit platelet-derived growth factor receptors (PDGF-α and PDGFRβ), vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFR1, VEGFR2, and VEGFR3), stem cell factor receptor (KIT), FSS-like tyrosine kinase-3 (FLT3), colony stimulating factor receptor type 1 (CSF-1R), and nerves Glial cell line derived neurotrophic factor receptor (RET).
