Dexibuprofen Powder is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It is the active right-handed enantiomer of ibuprofen. Most ibuprofen preparations contain a racemic mixture of two isomers.
Dexibuprofen powder is a chiral switch for racemic ibuprofen. According to the Cahn-Ingold-Prelog rule, the absolute configuration of the chiral carbon in dedexbuprofen is (S). Decibuprofen is also known as S(+) ibuprofen. Decibuprofen is used to relieve pain from osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and other conditions. It is also used to treat mild to moderate fever and pain. Do not use Dexibuprofen if you have a bleeding disorder, asthma, or known allergies.

Ibuprofen is an alpha-arylpropionic acid that is primarily used to treat rheumatoid arthritis, but is also widely used over-the-counter to treat headaches and minor aches and pains. The inactive (R) -enantiomer, that is, the dimer, undergoes a one-way chiral inversion to obtain the active (S) -enantiomer, with the former acting as the prodrug of the latter. That is, when ibuprofen is administered as a racemate, the non-racemate is converted into a racemate in the body, while the latter is not affected.
Dexibuprofen powder, an S(+) -enantiomer of Ibuprofen, is a potent COX-1 and COX-2 inhibitor with IC50 of 2.1μM and 1.6 μM, respectively. (S)-(+)-Ibuprofen has analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anticancer and antipyretic effects.
