Raw Powder Lomustine is a pale yellow crystalline powder, odorless. The melting point is 90℃, and the solubility in water, 0.1N sodium hydroxide solution, 0.1N hydrochloric acid, or 10% ethanol is less than 0.05 mg/ml. Dissolved in absolute ethanol is 70 mg/ml, slightly soluble in propylene glycol. It is soluble in chloroform, ethanol, or carbon tetrachloride, slightly soluble in cyclohexane, and almost insoluble in water.
Lomustine is a chloroethylamine nitrosourea anticancer drug, which acts on the G1 phase, G1-S boundary, M phase, and also acts on the G2 phase. It is a cell cycle nonspecific drug.
What is Lomustine?
Raw Powder Lomustine is a cell cycle non-specific drug that is most sensitive to cells at the G1-S border or early S phase, and also has inhibitory effects on the G2 phase. After it enters the human body, its molecule is broken into two parts from the carbamide bond: one is the chloroethylamine part, which dissociates chlorine to form ethylene carbocation, and exerts an alkylation effect, resulting in DNA strand breakage, RNA, and protein. Alkylation, these are mainly associated with antitumor effects.

What are the effects of Lomustine?
