The antimicrobial cloxacillin sodium is the sodium salt of cloxacillin and is penicillinase-resistant, acid-resistant, semi-synthetic penicillin. Cloxacillin sodium plays a bactericidal role on susceptible microorganisms in the active proliferation stage. Cloxacillin sodium acts by inhibiting cell wall mucopeptide biosynthesis.
The product is a semi-synthetic antibiotic, and the action characteristics and uses of oxacillin are very similar, and it has bactericidal effect on drug-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. It is mainly used for infection caused by drug-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, such as sepsis, osteomyelitis, skin and soft tissue infection, endocarditis, urinary system infection and meningitis.
