Ceritinib powder is indicated for the treatment of patients with anaplastic lymphoma kinase-positive (ALK+) metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) whose disease has worsened following crizotinib treatment or who are intolerant to crizotinib.

 

Ceritinib powder is a more potent ALK inhibitor than crizotinib in vitro, crosses the blood-brain barrier in vivo and shows clinical responses in patients with crizotinib-resistant disease.

Ceritinib is an antineoplastic (cancer) agent. It interferes with the growth of cancer cells, which are eventually destroyed by the body. Ceritinib is a chemotherapy drug used to treat a certain type of lung cancer called ALK (anaplastic lymphoma kinase)-positive non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
