Although it successfully binds to the receptor, it does not trigger intracellular signaling, similar to a fake key that cannot open a lock. It occupies the receptor position and prevents the natural α-MSH from docking. As a result, the initiation signal for melanin production is cut off, and TYROSINASE cannot be activated. The melanocytes will not start pigment synthesis, thus reducing the production of new melanin at its source. This action pathway is different from antioxidant components and raw materials that directly inhibit TYROSINASE. It acts at the very top of the pigment signal transduction process. Therefore, it takes a long time to see the effect. However, Melanostatine-5 peptide has strong targeting ability and high safety, and it does not interfere with the normal physiological activities of skin cells.
