What is Vonoprazan fumarate?
Vonoprazan Fumarate is a new type of potassium ion (K+) competitive acid blocker (P-CAB) and a new type of reversible proton pump inhibitor. The drug prototype works quickly, with a long half-life and remarkable acid inhibition effect. By competitively inhibiting the binding between K+ and H+-K+-ATPase (proton pump) in the final step of gastric wall cells secreting gastric acid, the IC50 value of inhibiting H+and K+-ATPase is 19 nM. It has a strong and lasting inhibitory effect on gastric acid secretion.
