Roflumilast MF

Roflumilast Powder is a selective phosphodiesterase 4(PDE4) inhibitor in the benzamide group. By selectively inhibiting PDE4, it blocks the transmission of inflammatory response signals, thereby inhibiting the damage to lung tissue caused by respiratory diseases such as COPD and asthma. It has been shown to inhibit COPD associated inflammation in a novel mode of action.

Its unique properties help to better manage patients with COPD: When used in combination with a bronchodilator to treat the most severe COPD patients, Roflumilast offers the additional benefit of further reducing symptoms and the rate of disease progression, making it the first drug to target a specific type of COPD patients with severe airflow restriction associated with prolonged cough and phlegm and a history of recurrent disease progression.
