Bivalirudin MF

Bivalirudin Powder is a new synthetic anticoagulant. It is a direct, specific and reversible inhibitor of thrombin.
As an alternative to regular heparin and platelet glycoprotein IIb/IIIa antagonists.

Bivalirudin Powder has proven to be an effective anticoagulant used by interventional cardiologists during PCI in patients with acute coronary syndrome. The drug is also an ideal anticoagulant in patients with a history of HIT and has predictable pharmacologic effects.
However, the efficacy of adjunctive therapy as judged by the occurrence of ischemic complica- tions during and after PCI is strongly influenced by platelet function. 6 Therefore, the clinical trial data indicate that bivalirudin might provide significant antiplatelet in addition to anticoagulant effects during PCI.
