Raw Lapatinib powder is an oral inhibitor of reversible small-molecule tyrosine kinase against HER-1/HER-2. The clinical indication is a combination of capecitabine for HER2 overexpression in advanced or metastatic breast cancer with prior treatment including an anthracycline, taxane, and trastuzumab. The effective rate of first-line monotherapy in the late stage is about 12-24%, while the general clinical guidelines recommend second-line therapy. The effective rate of combined therapy with capecitabine is about 26-33%, and the clinical benefit rate is up to 71.3%, which is also the most commonly used lapatinib combined chemotherapy regimen.
